Union County Jail Contact
The Union County Correctional Facility is the researched county jail facility for the inmate roster. It is operated by the Union County Sheriff's Office in the same K Avenue public-safety cluster as the main courthouse. Union County Visitation Schedule
In-person visitation at UCCF is by prior appointment. To schedule a visit, call 541-963-1020 between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on the day of the visit. For Saturday visits, callers may call on Friday. Holiday appointments are allowed when the holiday falls on a regular visitation day and use the normal call-on-day process. Visits are non-contact, one adult and two children may visit at a time, and an inmate may refuse a visit.

Visitors can be denied or removed for being under the influence, refusing search, violating rules, failing to supervise children, attempting contraband, or creating good cause for denial. A protected person may not visit a restrained person when a restraining order or other valid court order bars contact.
Video Visits and Mail
Video visitation starts with friends or family requesting approval online at secure.visitel.us. The jail must approve the request before it appears on the calendar or visitation screen. At the visit time, the approved user logs onto the kiosk, chooses the visit, and starts the session. Video visits are 30 minutes long. Monday through Friday hours are 7:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday hours are 7:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Mail is part of the inmate-contact process, but the rules also protect jail security by refusing altered, affixed, or contaminated items.
Mail should be addressed with the inmate name and Union County Correctional Facility, 1109 K Ave., La Grande, Oregon 97850. Allowed items include letters in ink or pencil, paperback books sent directly from a publisher or retail outlet, new unopened plain white underwear, socks, and T-shirts, and plain cards with nothing affixed. A kiosk in the visitation lobby accepts credit card or cash deposits. Corrections staff cannot take cash or money orders over the counter for an inmate, even when the visitor is already at the facility.

Commissary funds are separate from bail, so a deposit to an inmate account does not release a person from custody.
